Cancelling a booking
- Every booking made on Look n Book is subject to the cancellation charges levied by the hotel or supplier. These vary from hotel to hotel.
- Look n Book charges a cancellation service fee of ₹200 per passenger.
- Some bookings are non-refundable under the specific hotel's policy.
- Some bookings cannot be partially cancelled under the specific hotel's policy.
- You can cancel online from My Bookings or by emailing us.
Cancelling directly with the hotel
If you cancel directly through the hotel's website, front office or call centre, please let us know so we can process your refund. We do not receive any alert from hotels or suppliers when a booking is cancelled with them directly.
For direct cancellations, the refund is processed after deducting the hotel's charges and our service charge.
How refunds are processed
- We process a refund only after we receive your cancellation request or claim, from My Bookings or by email.
- Refunds for hotel cancellations are credited directly to your original mode of payment after we receive the refund amount from the hotel or supplier.
- We process the refund within 48 hours of receiving it from the hotel or supplier.
- All refunds are subject to the respective hotel or service provider processing the refund.
How long it takes to reach you
Because of banking procedures, a refund to a credit card may take about 48 hours, while a net-banking refund may take 7–10 days.
Wallet balance
Once wallet balance has been used for a transaction, the remaining amount in the wallet cannot be transferred to your bank account. It can be used for future bookings with us.
When a hotel closes or becomes insolvent
Look n Book is not liable to pay any refund where the hotel closes its operations or declares itself insolvent or bankrupt.
Based on an assurance from the hotel or supplier, we may sometimes refund the amount to you, but we reserve the right to recover the refunded amount if the hotel or supplier shuts down or goes bankrupt.
